5 missiles hit Iraqi base hosting US troops; no casualties

BAGHDAD — At minimum five missiles hit a sprawling Iraqi army foundation internet hosting U.S. troops in the country’s western desert Monday, two Iraqi safety officers explained.

The officers explained the Grad missiles struck inside of the Ain al-Asad foundation in Iraq’s western Anbar province and induced minimal damages but no casualties.

The officials reported the missiles strike only a couple of meters (yards) from in which U.S. forces are stationed. The officers spoke on problem of anonymity since they were not authorized to brief media.
