Accra, Ghana

After Arise Fashion Week 2012 in Lagos, Nigeria, I spent a few more days in Lagos before traveling to Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. While in Abuja, I took a weekend trip to Accra, Ghana. Ghana was truly beautiful! I stayed in the Movenpick Hotel and Resort.┬áIn Accra, Ghana on March 17th, I toured the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah freed Ghana from the British, was the 1st President & the 1st Prime Minister of Ghana. Along with much more, he is worth paying homage to for changing lives, a nation, and making history as a leader. I had such a great time exploring and taking pictures. Here are some of the pictures from Ghana that I took.

What’s different about me that some people fail to realize is, I LOVE culture and learning new things. I yearn for knowledge and have an eye for art. My degrees from the University of Oklahoma are an Arts and Human Relations Bachelor’s and Masters. I’m itching to become a doctor one day, although student loans kill me. Once I am ready, I’m sure I will find my nitch and figure out just what kind of doctorate I’d like to challenge myself to receive. I don’t mind being nerdy. The looks came during and after my collegiate years. Anyone who truly knows this Oklahoma girl can vouch for that. Enjoy!
