One of my favorite stress relievers is exercise! I know you are probably laughing or confused at the thought but it is true. People who exercise are less stressed and are more calm than those who do not exercise. Usually when things are going wrong in life, people start eating and lounging around. Instead, get up and walk the stress off for 20 minutes, drink some water and have a healthy snack. Making this a habitual reaction to common life stressors, I’m sure you will notice a positive change. You’ll find that you think with a clearer mind, have more energy and you will see results in your body. I guarantee that the more you exercise and the healthier you eat, you will see your body develop into better shape. Others in your life will notice the change too. You are going to feel so much happier. So get up and get your legs and arms moving!
My Exercise Recommendations:
Beginners: Walk or jog for 20 minutes 3 times a day if you are a beginner. Make sure you drink lots of water and snack on health foods. Read my article, “Healthy Snacks: Why they are good for you” for suggestions.
Moderate Exercisers: If you already workout, then I suggest 30 minutes of jogging vs. running intervals for 3-4 times a day. Practicing running versus jogging intervals will increase your body in burning fat quicker than that of walking 20 minutes, jogging 20 minutes or running 20 minutes. My suggestion is 1 minute of jogging for 2 minutes of running. I do this interval circuit in preparation for photo shoots and pageants.
