The hands that create such beauty and a heart that holds much love; that is my bestfriend John Calvin! John Calvin and I met back at Booker T. Washington High School and have been friends every since (10 years strong). John graduated a year before me (2002) and went to Langston University, eventually transferring to the University of Oklahoma where I was attending college. We lived across the street from each other and hung out EVERYDAY! Throughout the school work, my crazy health and workout routine, parties, photoshoots and doing hair (him doing and me watching), John decided to make me his muse. Years ago I was naive to makeup and hair extensions. I saw him work wonders on peoples hair, however, I had such pretty, full hair that I never thought to change it. For Halloween 2006, I dressed up with my girls Chauntel and Elizabeth Ashley as “The Lady Mafia” and John created my first hair extension style. Ever since, no one has ever touched my hair. He is my exclusive stylist (unless photoshoots require different).
I trust him with my life most importantly because he is the longest standing friend that I’ve had that has never turned his back on me. I love you John Calvin. In dedication to you. Congrats on your new career too!
