Change, to transform or convert, is a process. In many instances people are afraid to change because they parallel ideas of change with the meaning of the word conform. Conforming, in my opinion, is taking the easy way out. Conforming is cowardly. Speak up. Be you. Be different. Let people stare and let them be confused because they do not see your path. Over the years I have struggled with the balancing act of being a mother, full-time college student and ambitious believer in living my dreams. I’ve always believed in myself and knew that the action of achieving those dreams all began and resulted in being consistent in acquiring knowledge to specialize the things that would result in my dreams coming true. If life is a game, how are you playing?
Reflections on life come near and far. It’s unapparent to me of whether others see that each day is a direct reflection of what your tomorrow will be. I often ask myself, “are you paying attention to the signs?” The signs come in the form of other individuals actions or verbiage, groups existence and daily involvement, trials and tribulations of your everyday work and family life. Facts are facts. Facts are the truth. If someone relays a fact to you, it may hurt your feelings hearing it because facing the truth dead in the eye can be scary for those living in denial. However, when someone construes a fact to make themselves feel better, that’s a deceptive trait. Deception is an evil characteristic. I know at times people don’t want to face the truth or they would like to feel better about their decisions when they know that something that they have done isn’t morally right. Sometimes the truth hurts. There is no need to sugarcoat truths, face them head on. Change for the better and realize YOUR past denials. Learning from the truth brings maturity in growth. September 5 through 10th was an exciting week for me in Negril, Jamaica. I flew to Jamaica to shoot my spread for Smooth Girl “Live from Jamaica 2012″ and we stayed on loaction at Hedonism II, a partially prude, partically NUDE beach! It was CRAZY! Here’s some photos from my trip. The issue drops in December 2012.
After the London Olympics, I flew private to Dusseldorf, Germany and then to Canada before returning home to the United States. I went to the K2 Museum in Dusseldorf and to a nice dinner. I had a little fun flying the plane in the cock pit too. Enjoy my candids.

I had the experience of a lifetime by attending the London Olympics 2012 this year. Not only was it the 3rd time I visited London this year, but it was my first Olympics to go to. I have been having one of the BEST years of my life. I went to see Usain Bolt 200m win, the USA women’s track and field, the Men’s Basketball USA vs. Spain final game, and the closing ceremony! On Monday June 18th, I celebrated my birthday at Atlanta’s hotspot Tongue and Groove. I pre-partied at my place with some Atlanta homegirls drinking champagne and catching up. I hired my own personal photographer to capture all the images of my special night. I took a white stretch limo and had the tastiest cake made, a Playboy Bunny cake. There was also a premiere of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta going on too so it was super packed. Here’s some pictures of my “Bunny Day”. The very next morning, June 19th, I jetted out with my girl Alisha (pictured) to Puerto Rico for my birthday! Continue reading
Imagine being in London and having a FABULOUS time for about two weeks and then surprisingly taking a train from London to Paris. How exciting and romantic does that sound? On April 26th, I got to see Paris for the first time… by taking a train to Paris. Yay! I even tweeted a reference to a Diddy song, “Last train to Paris”. Riding on the train and viewing the scenery, it reminding me of the Anne Hathaway movies that I used to watch growing up. The mood and the language just slurps me up into a “love mood”.
After South Africa to Nigeria this month, I flew straight to London, England. I’ve never been to the UK before so I didn’t really know what to expect, however, I suddenly fell in LOVE! I did all the tourist things: I went to Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey, the Eye of London, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the Tower of London (and did the 60 minute tour), The House of Parliments (and did the 75 minute tour), shopped til I dropped for days on Oxford Street and in Selfridges, Harrods, and the Westfield Mall. I recently traveled to Cape Town last Thursday (April 12-13, 2012) and stayed a few days before flying private to Nigera for a few days. Here are a few photos from The One and Only Hotel, where I had a room in the two-story penthouse. South Africa is truly lovely!
After Fashion Week in Lagos was over, I ended up staying in Nigeria a few more weeks. I visited the capital, Abuja for about two weeks. In the time that I stayed in Abuja, I went to visit Ghana for a weekend. What many of you may not know is that Abuja was built in the 1980′s and took over as Nigeria’s capital in December of 1991. Although Abuja took Lagos’ place as the capital, Lagos is still more popular. Definitely, if you are a partier and want the experience of Nigerian nightlife, Lagos is it. As for a built city and a relaxing vibe, Abuja is nice. Continue reading
After Arise Fashion Week 2012 in Lagos, Nigeria, I spent a few more days in Lagos before traveling to Nigeria’s capital, Abuja. While in Abuja, I took a weekend trip to Accra, Ghana. Ghana was truly beautiful! I stayed in the Movenpick Hotel and Resort. In Accra, Ghana on March 17th, I toured the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah freed Ghana from the British, was the 1st President & the 1st Prime Minister of Ghana. Along with much more, he is worth paying homage to for changing lives, a nation, and making history as a leader. I had such a great time exploring and taking pictures. Here are some of the pictures from Ghana that I took.
Lagos, Nigeria held Arise Fashion Week 2012 during March 5-11th at Federal Palace Resort and Casino. I had the opportunity to go and experience 72 designers from 6 continents come together and produce an amazing all day, week long fashion show. My favorites were Tiffany Amber, Mataano, PPQ, Ozwald Boeteng, Vonne Couture, Gavin Rajah, and Tsemaye Binitie. Continue reading
This year I opted out of NBA Allstar Weekend and figured I’d try out CIAA Weekend in North Carolina. I had a pretty good time as well. I partied with Kid Capri, Future, Marcus Blassingame (editor of Black Men’s, just as my issue hit news stands nationwide), Draya, and many more. Here are some photos from my weekend.

The Jay Z and Kanye West “Watch the Throne” Tour came to Dallas this past Tuesday, December 6th, so of course, I had the opportunity to go! Not only was I able to fly into Dallas from Atlanta for it but I had the priviledge of flying in one of my bestfriends, Angelina, and a homegirl that I recently met in Atlanta to come with me. Needless to say that I had a FABULOUS time in my suite at the concert as well as the official after party. It was only a day trip but much needed. Check out my photos of my trip.

My Halloween this year was amazing! I celebrated all weekend in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and in Atlanta, Georgia. I was a Sexy Lady Bug Friday night in Hollywood, a Love Goddess at the Playboy Mansion (featured image) and a Honey Bee at Hooters Downtown Atlanta Monday. Later Monday night, my daughter and I were both Honey Bee’s. Did you know that a Honey Bee is Oklahoma’s state insect? Lol, well that’s where we are from. Below are pics from my Halloween 2011. Feel free to comment. Enjoy!
